Damp-Proofing will keep out water vapor but not liquid water.
Waterproofing will keep out all water vapor and liquid water.
We offer both foundation waterproofing and damp-proofing solutions.
Foundation waterproofing is a product (or multiple products) that keep water and moisture from entering into your basement.
Here are a few different types of waterproofing. Utilizing all of these products will maximize the ability to keep water from entering your basement.
1. Fluid Applied Membrane- This is a spray-on or roll-on liquid material that creates a uniform envelope around your concrete foundation to keep water out. Most products are asphalt or rubber based.
2. Foundation Drainage Mat - These are textured plastic mats that are applied to the exterior wall of the foundation. The mats will help keep water from pressing up against the concrete walls and will help the water flow down below your basements level.
3. French Drains and Sump Pumps- This is a series of perforated pipes installed below your basement floors and footings to help collect ground water. These pipes usually lead to a sump pump where the water can be pumped out away from your home.
We are able to customize our waterproofing options to best fit your needs and your budget. We offer basic solutions as well as premium options to keep your home and basement dry.
We are located in Logan, UT. Our service areas include all of Utah, Idaho, and Wyoming.
A foundation drainage mat is a texture plastic mat that is installed on your foundation walls on top of the fluid applied membrane. These mats eliminate water pressure on your foundation walls and allows the water to drip down to the bottom of your foundation wall. There are many different types of mats. Spray-on house wrap is intended to protect the interior living space of your home by preventing liquid moisture from penetrating your sheathing system, while allowing for moisture vapor to pass to the outside. In addition, a properly installed system will also reduce air leaks. Typically, your builder would use a paper housewrap to serve as the barrier. Housewraps, however, have limitations and weaknesses which, even when properly installed, minimize the effectiveness of the protection they actually provide to your new home.
